London cyclist hit by petrol tanker

News emerges about the cyclist killed last week in Hackney:

An aspiring art curator who died after being hit by a lorry while cycling was remembered today as a "future star of the art world".

Goldsmiths College graduate Daniel Cox, 28, died in hospital two days after the collision in Dalston.

Police are investigating the fatal crash at the junction of Dalston Lane and Kingsland Road at 4.45pm on Wednesday. The truck driver stopped at the scene and a 51-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. He has been bailed until July.
