Police get tough with cyclists

Marvellous news from Thetford. Because local driving standards are the highest in the galaxy, with no dangerous, reckless or lawless driving at all, police are free to concentrate on the really big local criminals, and will clamp down on cyclists riding through the town.

This matches Shrewsbury, where police

are stepping up patrols against anti-social cycling in an area of the town, threatening to hit offenders with £30 fines. The police clampdown coincides with the current Justice Seen Justice Done campaign.

Run nationally by the Home Office and supported by West Mercia Police, the campaign aims to raise awareness and understanding of what the public can expect from the police and partner agencies.

Which in the case of cyclists means: nothing at all.
