Cyclist “clipped” by hit and run driver

Have you noticed how cyclists don’t get hit by motor vehicles. They get clipped. A nice soothing word that takes all the unpleasantness out of these unfortunate accidents.

A CYCLIST suffered minor injuries in a hit-and-run accident in North Oxford this morning. The male cyclist, aged 70, was taken to hospital following the collision with a white van in Woodstock Road.

David Staines, a spokesman for Thames Valley Police, “The cyclist was travelling towards Oxford when he was clipped by the van, which was travelling in the same direction. “This caused him to fall from his cycle, and he suffered minor injuries.
